The Empire, Coventry

Empire sits within the cultural quarter of Coventry, a short walk from Coventry city centre. Nestled comfortably between Coventry University and the new creative hub and independent retail quarter that is Fargo Village. Empire was the former home of Coventry Universities Student Union Club. Due to its close links to the University, Empire holds one official Student Union event per week on Wednesday nights (Strike Back), as well as sponsoring a number of clubs and societies. Empire is a large multi use, music and club venue, with the mission to showcase local, breaking and established bands and artists. The venue have invested heavily to offer a destination that will attract some of the best touring acts around, this investment has allowed them to build three artist en suite dressing rooms, green room and VIP bar, and most importantly, a stage and front of house sound and light system that will rival some of the better and bigger live music venues in the UK. In February 2015, Tom Clarke (front man of Coventry’s very own, The Enemy) visited the recently closed former student union venue HUSH - as soon as he entered the venue, he realised the potential of the building, and the importance it could hold for Coventry, his vision was to provide a venue that ticks all the boxes for management, promoters, artists, tech teams, and most importantly live music fans our customers. we have provided bespoke dressing rooms, bespoke stage, production offices, and a state of art sound and lighting system to rival most if not all live music venues across the UK - he wanted to build a venue that artists want to perform in, agents want to book, and music lovers want to visit.
