A Steady Rain at The Tin
A Steady Rain

Date: 22 February 2018

Location: The Tin 1-4, The Canal Basin, St Nicholas St, Coventry CV1 4LY

Time: 10:30 - 13:30

For two nights only, the Criterion Theatre is bringing its acclaimed UK amateur premiere of Keith Huff’s dark Chicago police drama “A Steady Rain” to The Tin.

On a rainy night on the wrong side of Chicago, two cops are called out to a domestic disturbance. Best friends since childhood, they are practically family; but, when things go bad, a lot more that friendship is put on the line.

Based partly on true events, “A Steady Rain” is a powerful psychological drama by a writer best known for the TV series “House of Cards” and “American Crime”. It ran on Broadway in 2009, starring Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig.

…the most compelling evening of dialogue I’ve witnessed in a long time… two fine actors who had me spellbound in this utterly absorbing two-hander” ECHO

Apart from a short interval I sat for two hours along with the rest of the Criterion audience, hardly daring to draw breath…” Barbara Goulden, ElementaryWhatsOn
