COVtember is a new event bringing together EIGHT of Coventry’s well known bands and artists for one huge day of music.

We are very excited to bring you a massive event taking place in Coventry, a city rich with music tradition and a city that was proudly announced as ‘ City of Culture 2021 ‘ recently.

COVtember is a new event bringing together EIGHT of Coventry’s well known bands and artists for one huge day of music. The day will bring to you a massive piece of Coventry music spanning from way back to the early 90s to the present. The day will be in association with the wonderful people at MIND, the mental health charity.

Doors will be open from 4pm with bands on from 5pm-11pm. This is a day not to be missed with £1 from each ticket going to MIND. We hope you can join us for this fantastic day. This September : COVtember 2018.

Welcome to the fifth edition of the Festival of Imagineers, Coventry’s annual festival that lies at the intersection of art, design and engineering.

Our 2018 programme focuses on the theme of connections and brings together an amazing group of local, national and international artists who will work with local businesses, engineers and communities to explore what connects rather than divides people.  We also invite you to play the streets: come and play in public spaces with free family workshops, performances, talks and exhibitions.

Journeys With ‘The Waste Land’ Exhibition

Journeys with ‘The Waste Land' explores the contemporary significance of TS Eliot’s seminal poem and the way it has resonated with artists over the years.

A visual response for Coventry to TS Eliot’s poem

The Waste Land is a major work of 20th century literature, written by TS Eliot in 1921 in the aftermath of the First World War. Journeys with ‘The Waste Land’ is an exhibition led by independent curator, Michael Tooby, and organised in collaboration with Turner Contemporary in Margate, by the Mead Gallery and the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum in association with Coventry Cathedral. This exhibition explores the contemporary significance of TS Eliot’s seminal poem and the way it has resonated with artists over the years.

The works selected for exhibition have been researched by a group of volunteers drawn from the Coventry area and include historical and contemporary works by artists including Peter Blake, Jacob Epstein, Elisabeth Frink, RB Kitaj, Percy Wyndham Lewis, Paul Nash, George Shaw, John Stezaker, Graham Sutherland and JMW Turner. Through these works, the exhibition explores themes within Eliot’s poem of journeys and fragmentation. The selection also makes reference to Coventry’s history as a city fragmented by, and rebuilt upon, the ruins of war.

10 days of talks, gigs, workshops and exhibitions, held in different venues around the historic town of Kenilworth, Warwickshire. Headliners include S. Carey, Ruby Tandoh and Zoe Rahman.

Now in its third year, Kenilworth Arts Festival will take place over ten days in September, with events, workshops and exhibitions being held in different venues around the town. The festival will feature award-winning, internationally-acclaimed writers and musicians, as well as emerging artists from around the country. Headliners this year include American singer-songwriter S. Carey (a member of indie-folk band Bon Iver), MOBO Award winning pianist Zoe Rahman, BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winners Josienne Clarke & Ben Walker, food writer & GBBO finalist Ruby Tandoh, nature writer John Lewis-Stempel and novelists Fiona Mozley, Kit de Waal, Sarah Moss and Sharlene Teo.
