The islanders of Great and Little Todday are dismayed to find their whisky supply dwindling, as the government diverts the precious stuff to the Americans.

When a 50,000 bottle cargo is shipwrecked close by the islands relief seems to be at hand. Conflict is guaranteed, however, once Paul Waggett of the Home Guard decides to prevent the islanders taking advantage of their good fortune.

This new production, set in 1955, is a tribute to the fearless all-female touring theatre companies of the post-war years. Under the direction of the redoubtable Flora Bellerby, witness the Pallas Players as they play all characters from Mackenzie’s comedy classic, in an adaptation that breathes fresh life into a well-loved masterpiece.

Running time: Approx. 2hrs 20mins, including interval.
