By Car

Coventry & Warwickshire is easily accessible from the National Motorway Network that bisects the region - M6, M40, M42, M5, M69; with the A45 and the A46 being the main arterial roads into the city and its region.

By Rail

Coventry is on the Main West Coast Line, being serviced by regular train services seven days a week; networking it with other major towns and cities. Regular and frequent trains run to and from London and there is also an extensive timetable of local trains linking to other regional towns.

Coventry Airport is approximately 5 miles from central Coventry, 26 miles from Birmingham City Centre and 27 miles from Leicester and offers easy access to some of the Midland's most famous attractions.

Birmingham International Airport is approximately 20 minutes away from central Coventry, and is the ideal gateway for overseas visitors. However, Heathrow and Gatwick are within a 2 - 2½ hours drive respectively.

Park and Ride

For first time visitors to Coventry we recommend using the city's hop on, hop off Park & Ride services. The South service is sited at the War Memorial Park off the Kenilworth Road, while the North service is sited in Austin Drive, Courthouse Green. Both sites have free parking.

Both operate Monday to Saturday and serve the city centre at frequent intervals.

Taxis

Black 'London-style' cabs operate in Coventry city centre and display a yellow license plate issued by Coventry City Council on the rear of the vehicle. Official taxi ranks are located in the Burges, Pepper Lane & Broadgate. There is also a taxi rank at Coventry train station and taxis are available at Coventry Airport.
