The camps offer an opportunity to participate in climbing games, healthy activities, team-building and the National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme (NICAS).

The Mead Gallery exhibition presents a new series of raw and powerful paintings, frequently vast in scale, which were inspired by found photographic imagery the artist collects.

Clare Woods is a renowned British painter, who established her reputation with large-scale landscapes painted in household gloss and enamel on aluminium. Recently, the artist has moved into figurative painting. Her profound works is displayed in this exciting exhibition.

This February Half Term is the perfect opportunity to explore the science that is used “behind the scenes” of a museum.

Join us in the Learning Centre to make spectroscopes, thermometers and bugs.

Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) will be joined by the arts throughout the half term holiday. Enjoy the mix of science and art and take all of your creations home!

Creepy Crawlies
Have a look at our museum bugs. Make your own museum bug catcher and take it around the museum. Can you find any?

Monday 19 February
Spectacular Spectroscopes
Make your very own Spectroscope and be wowed by the discovery of a transportable rainbow!

Tuesday 20 February
Wonderful Waters
In this colourful and fun session you can experiment with different types of fluids, learn about the density of different materials while making beautiful pictures to take home.

Wednesday 21 February
Thermometer Madness
Have a go at making a thermometer from everyday materials. The best thing is – it works and you can take it home with you.

Thursday 22 February
Car Collage
Using different materials like leather, wood, rubber and metal make your very own car collage to take home.

Friday 23 February
Wrapping It Up
Small boxes, big boxes. Square boxes, round boxes. Make boxes with only one piece of paper. Learn some ingenious engineering and take it home to store your very own collection.

No booking required, just drop in to the Learning Centre of the first floor.

British motor museum mini motorists
Mini Motorists

Enjoy the Museum's Mini Motorist under 5's activity mornings and discover through play, the world's largest collection of historic British cars.

The first of 2018’s events will take place on Monday 15 January, with one every month thereafter, the spring dates are Monday 19 February, 19 March and 16 April.

Drop-in between 10.30am and 12pm and explore the Museum with your toddler.

Join us for a special selection of activities that are designed with the 5's and under in mind. There are lots of interactive and enjoyable things to do to keep little ones entertained.

All Mini Motorists activities are included in the entry price!

We have a children friendly Café with high chairs and children's lunch box meals as well as excellent coffee, tea and cake. There are baby changing facilities on the Museum level located in the disabled toilet. There is a lift or escalator to the Café, but the Museum is all on one level and buggy friendly. Buggy parking is available.

There is no need to pre- book for any of the Mini Motorists sessions, you are welcome to just come along on the day. But you can buy your Museum ticket in advance online - under 5's are FREE, adults are £14 and concessions £12. There is also the option to Gift Aid or donate your entry fee and get an Annual Pass at no extra cost, which means you can come back for all the sessions.

Explore a treasure trove of weird and wonderful objects from our past productions and discover the gory secrets of theatre-making. See up close the stunning costumes and fearsome weaponry created right here in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Get creative and hands-on with our interactive exhibits; step inside the mind of a Director, perform the part of Hamlet on the Royal Shakespeare Theatre stage in front of a virtual audience, and embrace your competitive streak with our quick change challenge.

Focusing the spotlight on the creativity behind-the-scenes, there are plenty of activities to entertain the whole family.

Open daily from 10.20am.

Annual Pass – pay once, visit as often as you wish for 12 months: £8.50 Adult, £4.25 child, £4.25 disabled people.
