MARY ARDEN'S FARM

Explore the house where Shakespeare's mother, Mary Arden, grew up and experience for yourself the daily routine, skills and crafts the young William would have known from visits to his grandparents in the 1570s.
You will find all the sights, sounds and smells of an authentic Tudor farm. Mary Arden's Farm is a working farm that keeps pace with the seasons which means there is always something new to see and do. Look out for the daily activity boards during your visit.
Try your hand at farm chores and meet the rare breed animals. Watch our Tudors cook the traditional midday meal. Enjoy have-a-go archery (school and bank holidays) and daily falconry displays. Explore countryside walks and nature trails and enjoy refreshments and light meals served all day in the cafe.

New for 2013 – Special festivals and events to celebrate the Tudor calendar PLUS new playground and picnic area.
